| Four-star offensive tackle Ed Christian of Lowndes (Valdosta, Ga.), who recently decommitted from Florida State, has made a pledge to play for Auburn. He told ESPN affiliate Web site AuburnUndercover.com, "Overall, the visit was great. I loved the environment. I loved the game. I had a lot of one-on-one time with the players and I like the players. The coaches get you on a one-on-one level, and I liked that. They are very calm. I see myself being an Auburn Tiger." The 6-foot-5, 290-pound prospect considered Florida, the Seminoles, Alabama and Tennessee. Among others, Christian was also offered by Clemson, South Carolina, East Carolina and Florida International. ESPN's Bill Conley added, "The Auburn Tigers are fast approaching their twentieth commitment for the 2010 class and the latest addition is offensive lineman Ed Christian. He is the third offensive lineman in the class and the fifth player from the state of Georgia. Even though one half of the Tiger class is from native Alabama, six different states are already represented for 2010." "Christian is a very athletic offensive lineman with excellent height. He is a superb perimeter run blocker that can reach the outside pads of the defender to allow the running back to get down hill in a hurry. Christian is fluid in space and can pick up linebackers when chipping to the second level." |
